Jewel Cichlids are a beautiful cichlid that are known for their stunning bright red appearance. It grows to a length of 4-6 inches and like most cichlids are aggressive. They will thrive in an aggressive cichlid aquairum with similary sized fish of the same tempermate. Jewel cichlids enjoy a sand substrate and when its breeding time will become more aggressive towards other fish and their bright red color will pop even more during this time.
