The Super Red Bristlenose Pleco (Ancistrus sp. “Super Red”), is a peaceful freshwater fish native to the rivers of South America. Named after their distinctive moustache-like whiskers, the Bristlenose is undoubtedly hard to miss and extremely fun to watch.

Growing up to 6 inches in length with a long lifespan of up to 12 years, the Bristlenose Pleco is an excellent choice for family aquariums.
 
The ideal conditions for the Super Red Bristlenose Pleco
Bristlenose Plecos are happiest in highly oxygenated aquariums with ample vegetation, fast-growing plants and moderate water movement. As algae and biofilm eaters, Plecos will benefit significantly from natural woods and organic structures in their tank, as well as rocks and driftwood pieces to provide cozy hiding places when required.
